One day, after visiting his friends, Omori would travel with Basil, Hero, Kel, and Aubrey back to Basil's house. In Headspace, Omori would become friends with versions of Sunny's friends that were created in Headspace, and they would travel together throughout it.

Soon after this event, Omori would manifest himself into Sunny's mind as a way to escape the horrors of his actions, in the form of White Space and Headspace. After this, Sunny and his friend, Basil, would stage the accidental murder as a suicide, leading to both of them gaining guilt in the form of Something. Even at the end of the game, when Sunny confronts Omori after having discovered the truth about his actions, Omori is still trying to accomplish his purpose as a mechanism that allows Sunny to escape his woes and traumas, by pointing Sunny towards the only means of escape left now that mental repression is no longer an option: suicide.īefore his creation and before the main events of Omori, Sunny and his sister Mari would get into an argument regarding an upcoming recital, leading to Sunny pushing Mari down the stairs and to her death. In his own twisted way, Omori is still shown to care for both Sunny and Mari. This is seen with how Headspace is reset during the game's alternate route, as well as when Basil obtains a photo of the truth of what had happened to Mari. Being a mental construct subconsciously created by Sunny to help himself escape the burden of his actions, Omori manipulates Headspace to prevent any chances of the truth from being revealed to Sunny. Omori is also revealed to be a manipulative person. Based on his in-game attacks and abilities, it can be seen that Omori generally feels gloomy and melancholic. Omori is a cold and gloomy person, and is silent for a majority of the game's Headspace segments. Unlike the rest of headspace and the rest of the versions of Sunny's friends in Headspace, he does not have the purple and colorful dreamlike effect of them, and has no pupils.ĭuring the final fight against Sunny, Omori's monochromatic color palette changes to one of red, black, and white, with more of his body becoming distorted and red the longer the fight carries on for.

the Headspace Basil is even removed after his character interferes with Omori’s repressive goals.
